Our High Intensity Cardio class is part of our Fit Like a Fighter Package. It focuses on fat burning and endurance using cardiovascular and weighted exercises. We use a High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) design, which allocates a certain amount of time for activity and time to rest. The time varies among classes as do the exercises performed. A style of HIIT that we use in some classes is a Tabata workout. This designates 20 seconds of work with 10 seconds of rest repeated eight times.
As a beginner, you may find that it is a challenge to keep up, which is perfectly normal and expected. As you continue to train, the classes will get easier and you will most definitely get stronger and fitter. We recommend starting with 2 – 3 classes per week, and as you develop your fitness levels increase the number to 3 – 4 times per week. Go at your own pace. Rest assured our instructors will be guiding you safely through all workouts.
We also recommend subscribing to our heart rate monitoring program. You will be able to track your calories burned and also if you are over or under training.
